You will serve as a MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATOR in the Operation Branch of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON.
Duties
You will participate in a variety type of maintenance and operational functions by driving a variety of types of equipment.
You will drive vehicles on regularly established schedule and routes or on a specific trip basis to transport personnel, equipment and materials where directed.
You will keep trip records and logs showing all pertinent information relative to operation of vehicle and delivery of materials.
You will load and unload materials or direct crews in this task and check material delivered against various types of records to insure against errors.
You will clean and perform operational maintenance of assigned vehicles.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. You will be required to sign a DD-Form-2760, Qualification to possess firearms or ammunition.
- Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s Permit (OF 346) for all vehicles to be operator.
- Must qualify for and have a Commercial Class A license endorsed to operate tankers, passenger transport vehicles, placarded vehicles transporting hazardous materials or wastes, and double trailer combinations within 30 days of hire.
- This position requires a State Criminal History Repository (SCHR) check to be completed on any person selected for this position. I am willing and able to submit to a SCHR check.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
Qualifications
