This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (AIRCRAFT) (TITLE 32), Position Description Number NGD2504000 and is part of the TN 134th ARW, Air National Guard.

Duties
As a SUPERVISORY PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (AIRCRAFT) GS-1152-11 (TITLE 32) you will, develop, interpret, and provide program guidance to the Wing regarding maintenance policies, procedures, budget, training criteria, and manpower/personnel. Provide oversight to the budget process, including planning, programming, budgeting, allocation, and funds execution. Lead aircraft maintenance support for operational, exercise, or contingency operations. Evaluate leads and control the Group and subordinate unit training program to ensure combat readiness for unit members and tracks progress via automated training records system and other tools. Direct aircraft maintenance analysis activities for the Maintenance Group. Represent the Maintenance Operations branch, participating in discussions, meetings, and/or serving on panels or committees concerning maintenance policies and procedures. Plan and schedule work in a manner that promotes a smooth flow and even distribution. Perform other duties as assigned.

- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.

- Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.

- Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position.
- Position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.

- Applicant must complete a Baseline Pre-Placement Screening for General Schedule positions within 30 days of appointment.
- Acceptance of a Federal position may terminate Tricare Reserve Select eligibility.
- For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver’s license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.
Qualifications
Military Grades: E-8 and E-9
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training which indicates the candidate can reason in quantitative terms, communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, understanding the terminology and data pertaining to repair operations and process characteristics of the production activity.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at lease 1 year at the next lower GS level or 36 months experience, education or training in computations of cost data on labor and materials, buying materials or reviewing data with respect to man-hours, machine time, materials consumed, etc. Experience with current automation support programs to input data, provide status of equipment, and monitor job order status, monitor work priorities, requisition repair parts, track repair parts status, etc.
