You will serve as a SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY) with NAV RECRUITING DISTRICT NEW ORLEANS.

Duties

You will develop performance standards (e.g., guidelines, criteria, priorities) for junior employees. You will write directives (e.g., policies, practices, procedures) for military personnel actions. You will research historical military personnel documentation to recommend improved operations or action processing.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States driver license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Developing solutions to military personnel programs issues; 2) Managing personnel actions (e.g., awards, promotions, schools, assignments, retirements and separations) in support of military personnel program management; 3) Utilizing military personnel data systems in support of military personnel programs; and 4) Preparing and presenting correspondence, reports and briefs to provide information used in decision making. Education

n lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree.
OR
Successfully completed two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree.
OR
