About the Position: Serves as an Office Support Assistant (OA) providing clerical and administrative support to Mud Mountain Dam and Howard A. Hanson Dam.
Duties
Compose routine correspondence on other subjects as outlined in regulations and procedures or specifically requested by the Operating Project Manager and Administrative Officer.
Provide advice and assistance to the Administrative Officer AO and Operating Project Manager OPM concerning regulatory procedures in official correspondence.
Serve as the primary timekeeper for the project, inputting time and attendance to a financial management system by deadlines set by Administrative Officer/Operating Project Manager and District.
Procure office supplies and materials (government credit cardholder).
Prepare Requests for Personnel Actions, working closely with AO to ensure all required documentation and information is included.
Assist in maintaining the current tracking system for performance management in support of Operations Division data calls.
Assist preparing justifications and monetary/non-monetary award actions such as performance awards, Bravos, special acts, and employee of the quarter awards.
Receive calls, greets visitors, and directs to staff members those contacts needing their attention or action.
Receives and reviews all mail and distribution for the project.
Requirements

- Must obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.

Minimum Qualifications for the GS-06 grade level:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes at least two of the following: personnel activities, drafting correspondence, training coordination, timekeeping or travel coordination, AND must have experience accessing or locating information using a personal computer or terminal. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
Minimum Qualifications for the GS-07 grade level:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience with policies, procedures, and regulations related to the functions and work of the office to include three (3) or more of the following: personnel activities, drafting correspondence, training coordination, timekeeping, or travel coordination; AND must have experience accessing or locating information using a personal computer or terminal. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
Typing Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample with three or fewer errors.
