You will serve as a Social Science Analyst (Transition Assistance Management Program Manager) providing transition assistance for FFSC of CWG-SIX.
All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
Duties
You will assist with resume writing, reviews and employment coaching.
You will maintain employment database for client use.
You will collect and evaluate statistics on employment and transition trends and demographics as related to program goals.
You will coordinate with state employment representatives and Veteran's Administration to schedule week-long Transition Assistance Program seminar twice each month.
You will Liaisons with related field personnel.
You will develop reports and statistics for local use and for higher level Dept. of Labor reports.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.

- This position requires a periodic polygraph examination.
- This position may require a 2-Year DCIPS trial period.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conducting interviews to counsel and advise on career, occupational, and educational opportunities; provide assistance in developing goals and plans; determine appropriate service and options; and provide appropriate training to assist with goals; 2) Demonstrating skill and maintain up-to-date knowledge in resume writing, career
development, and military transition; 3) Ability to present to large groups or people, in variety of settings, on installations, in the community as appropriate/required. Facilitate trainings that address a wide variety of military transition, employment and education; 4) Participating in local and community job fairs to match and attract prospective employers for clients; 5) Developing reports and statistics for local use and for higher-level reports.

Education
Applicants must meet the following Basic Requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess:
Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
or
Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences
equivalent to a major in the field.
or
Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social
sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
