You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST (Assistant Inspector General) in the Command Department (00) of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $153,354).

Duties

You will perform command evaluations, determine inspection readiness, and will be responsible for all matters pertaining to advertising and outreach of the Hotline Program at Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) IHD and its detachments and sites. You will be responsible to provide feedback and advice to the Commanding Officer in carrying out their mission. You will prioritize and conduct investigations, within established time requirements, including investigations in response to Congressional inquiries and investigations as directed by Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Inspector General (IG). You will complete appropriate training and pursue certifications, to ensure compliance with professional development, and training standards, to execute core IG functions.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Conducting investigations of waste, fraud, abuse, or mismanagement of resources to determine whether policies, laws, or regulations have been violated.
