Duties
You will assist journey level workers in the construction, alteration, maintenance, and repair of buildings, structures, partitions, and other items.
You will assist with the installation, repair and maintenance of exterior water and sewer systems, fixtures and equipment.
You will perform tasks involving the mixing, application and finishing of plaster surfaces in the construction and repair of interior walls and ceilings and stucco exterior walls.
You will assist with the preparation and painting of surfaces where repairs have been completed.
You will clean work areas and benches; ensure tools and machines are lubricated.
You may be required to haul trash, debris, materials, supplies, tools, etc, to and from job sites; load and unload vehicles; perform driver's maintenance to include checking fuel, oil, water, lights, windshield wipers and report major repairs
Requirements

- The employee will utilize all required safety equipment in the performance of the duties assigned to this position. Close attention will be required and action taken to ensure the work site is safe and tasks are performed in a safe manner.
- Work requires constant standing, walking, climbing, and bending.
- Frequently lifts, carries, and sets up parts and equipment that weighs up to 65 pounds. May occasionally be required to lift or carry heavier items with the assistance of weight lifting devices or other employees.
- Callbacks are often of an emergency nature and employee is expected to be available for work Call back and emergency overtime are requirements of this position.
- The employee is subject to callback for work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
Qualifications
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Providing assistance to higher graded maintenance workers and mechanics in the trades of carpentry, plumbing, plastering, and painting.
