You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST (AIR OPERATIONS) and COR for the Navy Parachute Course as well as assist with the SL/JM and HRST/C of NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE CTR CORONADO.
Duties
You will supervise the Naval Parachute Course contacts, to include, but not limited to: pre-course coordination and instructor preparation; developing and generating student guides, drawing, technical manuals, data sheets, and rosters and dates.
You will directly support and assist the military course manager in the supervision of up to 45 enlisted/ contracted instructor personnel (rank through E-8) and up to seventy students simultaneously.
You will monitor progress, provide assessment and evaluation with recommended solutions to Air Operations instructor and students.
You will develop, validate, implement and evaluate approved curricula, and analyze, develop and recommend required changes to all NSWATC Air Operations courses of instruction.
You will manage courses scheduling and instructor assignments, and ensures course is in compliance with internal command guidance and external command schedules.
You will communicate with various personnel from both US and International Air Operations units within the field to develop new curricula on current and new Air Operations equipment related to the field of Air Operations.

- You must have been qualified as a Military Freefall Jumpmaster and Naval Special Warfare Air Operations Trainer/Examiner, per COMNAVSPECWARCOMINST 300.3C.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a dive/jump physical standards.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a qualification as a Helicopter Rope Suspension Techniques/Cast (HRST/C) Master.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a qualification as a Static Line Jumpmaster.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a qualification as a Naval Special Warfare Air Operations Trainer/Examiner.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a qualification as Instructor (JIT, IQC, etc.)
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: overseeing the development, management, and delivery of full spectrum Air Operations instruction (e.g. Military Free Fall course of instruction, Static Line course of instruction, Static Line Jumpmaster (SLJM), Helicopter Rope Suspension Techniques/Cast Master (HRST/C) or similar military freefall operations) AND providing course lead development, coordination and execution for all Air Operations instruction and administrative areas.
