This position is located in the Enforcement Bureau (EB), Office Of Field Director (OFD), Federal Communications Commission (FCC) located in Washington, DC. The selectee may also work from any of the EB Field Office locations.Relocation expenses will not be paid.

Duties
The incumbent serves as the Deputy Field Director and as such, will assist with overseeing, directing, and coordinating the Enforcement Bureau's field operations and programs in the Bureau’s Office of the Field Director and Field Offices. The incumbent serves as a confidential advisor to the Field Director on all Field operations and programs.

B. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCESpecialized Experience: Applicants must have a minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 in the Federal service. For this position, specialized experience includes the following:
Background in electrical or electronics engineering;
Experience in performing complex engineering analysis and studies concerning a broad range of radio communications systems;
Experience in the use of radio frequency (RF) test, measurement, and monitoring equipment to locate and identify RF interference sources;
Experience in developing approaches for interference mitigation for a broad range of radio communication systems such as Broadcast TV, Broadcast Radio (AM/FM), Cellular/PCS/LTE and wireless microwave;
Experience interpreting, explaining, or defending compliance or enforcement policies, rules, and regulations to a diverse group of individuals, including non-engineers;
Experience in interacting and making presentations to individuals and groups at all levels of authority; and
Experience in overseeing, directing, supervising or managing a subordinate staff.
