You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Financial Management Community of NAVSUBMEDRSCHLAB NEW LONDON CT.

Duties

You will compile, analyze, and summarize financial and/or budget information to assigned areas of a financial program. You will work with accounting systems; analytical, forecasting, and interpretive functions associated with management and control of funds. You will develop, determine, and interpret budgetary policies and practices. You will contribute to the cost effective use of funds and assure funds are not over or under obligated and are spent in a timely manner.

• This is a Financial Management Level 1 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
• You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience providing financial oversight, budget formulation, and/or budget execution. Experience preparing contractual funding documents and financial audits. Experience communicating with both internal and external customers. Experience utilizing Accounting Systems, to include Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and/or Systems Applications and Products in Data Processing (SAP). master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
