About the Position: This Park Contract Inspector position is located at Old Hickory Lake in Hendersonville Tennessee and is aFull-Time Seasonal position. The typical work period is usually between mid-March and mid-December, but may change based on the needs of the organization. Weekend work will be required during recreation season approximately April through September.
Duties
Assist in the overall administration of contracts for the operation, maintenance, and renovation of buildings, grounds, utilities, and recreational facilities.
Inspect items of work under service contracts and construction contracts for the operation and maintenance of project facilities such as roads, parking areas, launching ramps, picnic and camping sites, playgrounds, restrooms, water systems etc.
Implement a quality assurance program through on-site inspections of ongoing work and completed products or services.
Maintain daily records of inspections and notifies the Park Contract Representative when work is satisfactorily completed, or if deficiencies are noted, coordinates with the contractor's representative to resolve deficiencies on site.
Prepare written reports recommending acceptance of inspected work or rejection of the service, product, or process involved.
Assure contractor's compliance with required safety regulations and practices.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- May be expected to travel up to 10% of the time for business related purposes.
- Must possess a valid operator's license and must be able to operate an inboard and/or outboard motorboat.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Monitoring compliance of regulations related to construction and/or service contracts. Preparing written reports pertaining to quality of service and/or products and performing minor maintenance work such as: grounds maintenance work, electrical and plumbing repairs, and conduct safety inspections.
