Duties

Provide employee guidance and direction, feedback on strengths and weaknesses, and hold employees responsible for satisfactory completion of work assignments. Provide on-the-job training for subordinates to improve skills. Plan and schedule work assignments on a daily or project basis within the instructions and time limits provided. Explain work requirements, methods, and procedures. Review instructions received and ensures the arrangements are made for adequate personnel, materials, and equipment at the work site.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Successfully complete a one year supervisory probationary period.

Responding to subordinates with regard to instructions, specifications, and tools needed to accomplish their tasks; Planning production flow and training schedules; Observing work in progress to anticipate and resolve problems to meet schedules or deadlines; AND making determinations on the acceptance or disposal on standard equipment. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. To meet the basic eligibility, you must receive at least two points on the screen-out element indicated above and must have an average of two points on all the job elements listed below.
