Duties
You will serve as the established technical resource for occupants, building energy monitors, and operations and maintenance staff.
You will identify energy conservation opportunities and help facilitate the implementation of projects, initiatives, and programs that reduce energy consumption and demand, and be an on-site action agent to facilitate energy and cost savings.
You will manage the Facility Energy Master Plan and reviewing/monitoring energy use trends and patterns insuring progress towards established goals by DoD.
You will ensure compliance with local, state and federal energy regulations.
You will prepare projects to reduce energy , solid waste, water, and sewer costs.
Requirements
- This is a bargaining unit position.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position requires you to obtain and maintain Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification within 6 months of being placed in position.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Serving as the established technical resource for stakeholders on all aspects of energy conservation, reduction, resilience and renewability; 2) Coordinating energy conservation efforts with internal and tenant activities; 3) Preparing projects to reduce energy, solid waste, water, and sewer costs; 4) Providing energy conservation training to clients; 5) Reviewing and monitoring energy use trends and patterns to ensure progress towards established goals by an organization; and 4) Developing energy-related documents and programs to comply with organizational directives.
