About the Position: This position is located in U.S. Army Installation Management Command, IMCOM Directorate - Readiness, responsible for active participation in providing effective management, direction, coordination, and synchronization of command functions within the headquarters and IMCOM Directorate Readiness to deliver effective service to the garrisons and/or joint bases supported.
Duties
Participates in overall program planning, furnishing specific guidance to headquarters, Directorate, and garrison staffs.
Directs, coordinates, and provides executive leadership to cross-functional teams and workgroup leaders to ensure the work planning, quality of work, internal personnel administration.
Conducts the review and analysis of assigned organization performance in relation to meeting goals, objectives, tasks, standards, and targets.
Develops higher level presentations, briefings, speeches, publications, and other documents for the senior leader’s presentation.
Advocating for and assisting assigned garrisons with inquiries and concerns - making sure that the proper resources are identified and energized to address any issues which may arise.
Uses data analytics to addresses issues, grievances, concerns, and inquiries from customers and others relying on an understanding of the IMCOM mission.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position may require the employee to occasionally travel away from the normal duty station approximately 25% of the time.
- This position requires a 1-year Supervisory Probationary period.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Providing leadership and management direction; 2) performing program/project management responsibilities and operations; 3) analyzing deviations, problems, and developing solutions; and 4) Communicating orally and in writing on at a General Officer level. The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14 or above).
