Duties

You will install shingles and tiles in straight lines to insure proper overlap and coverage. You will interpret work orders that outline the work to be done, materials and methods to be used in accomplishing the job. You will apply asphalt around flashings and gravel guards to obtain proper seal. You will measure and cut roofing materials to the required lengths and dimensions.

Requirements

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to do the work of a Roofer Worker without more than normal supervision performing duties such as: 1) Sweeping and cleaning roofs to prepare them for the application of new roofing materials; 2) Applying roofing material (e.g., tile, composition, tar, gravel, sheathing, concrete, sheet rock) to roofs; and 3) Utilizing basic roofing tools and materials to repair damage.
