You will serve as a Supply Systems Analyst in the Global Distance Support Center of NAVSUP FLC SD GF.

Duties

You will receive complex requests from worldwide customers and resolve customer mission essential support request via telephone, emails, naval messages and faxed information. You will analyze, evaluate and provide technical supply support assistance and advise to Navy activities and other worldwide customers. You will receive requirements for urgent, high priority material and explore all avenues of assistance available to locate products and services from Navy/Defense Supply Systems. You will serve as a technical adviser for supply and logistics products and services provided by NAVSUP Enterprise. You will analyze supply support methods and recommend action for short-term solutions and long term resolution.

Requirements

  • This position is considered Key/Non-Combat Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support of the expeditionary requirements in other than combat or combat support situations

Qualifications

GS-09 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing Supply System Analyst work analyzing, evaluating, and providing technical supply support to receive complex requests from customers and resolve customers mission essential support request. You have experience using a supply automated data processing and programs consisting of material management, inventory control or transportation. Specialized experience may include the following: 1) Receive requirements for urgent or service requirements to meet fleet operating inspection and training schedules and satisfy other customer requirements; 2) Collect data for trends analysis to resolve issues and conflicting program requirements; 3) Review various sources of data to determine unusual trends and differences within multiple systems used. GS-07 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing Supply System Analyst work analyzing, evaluating and providing technical supply support assistance via telephone, emails and fax to assist in a variety of usual and unusual problems, questions and conditions associated with processing requirements involving supply programs and logistics operations. specialized experience may include the following: 1) Interpret and evaluate alternatives to arrive at conclusions, decisions and recommendations; 2) Compiles data to evaluate the efficiency of supply programs involving customer services; 3) Perform calculations to determine the availability of material as noted on various supply systems records. GS-09 SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position: possess a master's or equivalent graduate degree, LL.B, J.D., or have completed two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to such a degree. One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study. If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours should be considered as satisfying the 1 year of full-time study requirement.

GS-09 COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Combinations of successfully completed graduate education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements.

GS-07 SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience: have successfully completed 1 full year of graduate level education, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position or have successfully completed a bachelor's degree in any field with superior academic achievement. One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study. If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours should be considered as satisfying the 1 year of full-time study requirement.

GS-07 COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements
