This position is a Maintenance Mechanic, WG- 4749-9 working in Jacksonville, Texas, for the Neches River National Wildlife Refuge. Duties

As a Maintenance Mechanic, your duties will include, but are not limited to, the following: Operate heavy equipment and aerial work platforms for a variety of tasks including road construction and maintenance, vegetation management, firebreak maintenance, material loading and handling, and tree trimming. Safely load, secure and transport heavy mobile equipment over highways, unpaved roads and in undeveloped areas. Conduct facility and equipment assessments to determine maintenance and repair requirements. Perform plumbing maintenance such as replacing fixtures and cleaning clogged water pipes and/or sewer lines. Repair and maintain HVAC systems including thermostats, blowers, evaporative cooling systems, ductwork, etc.
