You will serve as a POWERED SUPPORT SYSTEMS MECHANIC LEADER in the OFFICE OF THE OPERATIONS OFFICER of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND MARIANAS.

Duties

You will serve as a supervisor over a group of Powered Support Systems Mechanics, High Voltage Electricians, and Electrical Power Controllers engaged in providing electric power support to communications facilities. You will plan the use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials on a week-to-week basis or month-to-month basis. You will inform higher level supervisors of the need to revise work schedules and re-estimate labor and other resources. You will assign work to Work Leaders and provide technical direction and/or help in accomplishing difficult work steps and processes. You will inspect completed work for quality and work order requirements. You will advise employees in advance of performance expectations and explain new work techniques, as required. You will ensure employees with access to classified information comply with security directives. Must live or work within the commuting area of the duty location(s) listed for this position.

• This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
• May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.
• You will be required to sign the Statement of Understanding for Overseas Employment acknowledging receipt and understanding of the statement of living and working conditions for this location.

• This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

Qualifications
