About the Position: Red River Army Depot (RRAD) is located in northeast Texas, 19 miles west of Texarkana and approximately 170 miles northeast of Dallas. RRAD is near the corners of 4 states - Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas. The depot's enormous maintenance mission includes the repair, rebuild, overhaul and conversion of tactical wheeled vehicles. Duties
Insure that needed plans, blueprints, material, and tools are available, and that needed stock is obtained from supply locations.
Answer workers' questions regarding procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directives.
Assure that safety and housekeeping rules are followed.
Check work in progress and when finished, checks for compliance with supervisor's instructions.
Pass on to other workers instructions received from supervisor.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain a Personnel Background Investigation (NACI).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance for access to Depot Production Computer System.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- This position requires the employee to use personal protective equipment provided by the employer.
- Time Limited Detail NTE may be made or extended at management discretion.
- Temporary appointment may be extended in one year increments up to a maximum of three years but cannot be made permanent.
- Temporary promotion may be made or extended up to a maximum of five years and can be made permanent without further competition.
- This position has a requirement to lift up to 45 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
- You may be expected to travel (TDY) in this position up to 10% of the time for business purposes.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Painter Leader without more than normal supervision. I can perform the most difficult and complex Painter Leader duties such as checking for compliance with supervisor's instructions and meeting deadlines as required; determining work methods to accomplish work; insuring that needed plans, blueprints, materials, and tools are available; and ensuring needed stock is obtained from supply locations. I am considered an expert and work with a high degree of independence. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

PHYSICAL EFFORT
Work is accomplished in tiring positions, using bulky spray paint equipment. Lifts materials onto hooks or racks weighing less than 45 pounds, or may occasionally lift items weighing over 45pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The work is performed inside, subject to paint finish and dust. Required to wear protectiveequipment. Exposed to the possibility of cuts and bruises. Required to stand, walk, stoop, bend, etc.
