Duties

Incumbent is responsible for the maintenance, repair and condition of the entire playing area of the golf course. This includes directing and supervising subordinate employees in phases of course maintenance to include mowing, fertilizing and maintaining tees, fairways, greens, and roughs. Supervises the cleaning, painting and general repair of buildings, fences, bridges, and shelters directly affecting golf play to include the completion of general landscaping projects. Performs other duties assigned.

Requirements

• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
• Must be willing to work irregular hours to include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on mission needs.
• Must have and be able to maintain a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

1. Work experience performing duties as described above. 2. Must be able to obtain a DOD Pest Management Certificate. 3. Working knowledge of chemicals used on insects and for weeds and brush control. Highly Preferred Criteria: 1. At least 2 years experience supervising a minimum staff of 10 employees. 2. At least 2 years experience in operation of heavy machinery to include backhoe, bulldozer, grader, dump truck, forklift, and trailers. 3. At least 2 years experience in operation of commercial landscape equipment to include golf fairway mower, greens mower, spray rig. 4. Knowledge of small engine repair and preventative maintenance for lawn and ground equipment (weed eaters, blowers, trimmers).
