About the Position: The position is located with the U.S. Army Sustainment Command 404th Army Field Support Brigade, Army Field Support Battalion Lewis McChord, Yakima Supply and Services Division located at the Yakima Training Center (YTC). The Yakima Training Center is located in south central Washington State, adjacent to the community of Selah and 10 miles from Yakima and approximately 160 miles from Joint Base Lewis McChord.

Duties

Performs intensive integrated management of multiple commodity supply and equipment support for all Yakima Training Center permanent and tenant activities. Manages a wide variety of material categories of supply and equipment. Serve as the assistant to the Installation Property Book Officer. Supervises the Subsistence Supply Management Branch. Maintain a viable Command Supply Discipline Program.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Position requires incumbent to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Position required working mandatory overtime on some weekdays and weekends to support mission requirements.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
