Duties
As a Student Trainee in (Law), the Intern serves as a developmental level staff member. Assists supervisors, attorneys and other staff in one or more of the Chief Counsel's Office (CCO) units by performing tasks, including but not limited to the following:

You must meet the following Eligibility Requirements and Qualification Requirements by the start date of this internship.
Eligibility Requirements: 1) You MUST meet the definition of a STUDENT for the duration of your appointment as follows: An individual enrolled and seeking a Law degree at an ABA Accredited Law School on a full or half-time basis (as defined by the institution in which the student is enrolled), including awardees of the Harry S. Truman Foundation Scholarship Program under Public Law 93-842. Students need not be in actual physical attendance, so long as all other requirements are met. An individual who needs to complete less than the equivalent of half an academic/vocational or technical course-load immediately prior to graduating is still considered a student for purposes of this Program. 2) Grade Point Average (GPA): Every semester, you must maintain good academic standing with an overall GPA of 2.9 or higher on a 4.0 scale. An academic year of graduate education is defined as 18 semester hours in an accredited college or university.
3) You must be seeking a JD at a qualifying educational institution on a full or half-time basis. Qualification Requirements: To qualify for the NB-III level, you must meet the following requirements:
Must have completed at least 1 full academic year of graduate level law school education by the start of the summer internship. The law school must be recognized by the American Bar Association.
