Duties
This position is located in the in the Office of Field Operations, Firearms Operations Division, National Crime Gun Intelligence (CGI) Center of Excellence Branch, located in Wichita, Kansas.
The position described herein is that of an Industry Operations Investigator (IOI) Branch Chief for ATF, Office of Field Operations (FO), Firearm Operations Division (FOD) at the Center of Excellence (COE). The incumbent serves as a Branch Chief in the Center of Excellence Branch. The incumbent reports to the Deputy Division Chief, GS-1811-15. The incumbent is responsible for serving as Branch Chief and primary subject matter expert (SME) for the industry operations portion of the Center of Excellence and within the Firearms Operations Divisions (FOD) as a whole.

To qualify for a GS-14, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-13.
Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume. Specialized Experience is:
Leads or manages a team to determine their abilities in operational planning, directing and controlling of a team; AND
Manages project development relating to investigations and Crime Gun Intelligence (CGI); AND
Prepares investigative reports and/or briefings.
