This position will serve as the Supervisor of US Virgin Islands Financial Operations. The ideal candidate will possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to serve as the primary senior financial manager for the recovery office located in St Croix, USVI. This position will report to the Caribbean Area Finance Director; recurring travel (once per quarter) will be required to the St Croix, USVI Office to maintain operational continuity.

To qualify for this Supervisory Financial Management Specialist position at the IC-13 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following: Utilizing expert knowledge of disaster relief programs to guide and manage team members and advise senior leadership and other internal and external stakeholders. Leading teams and demonstrating a capacity to attend to details, assign and monitor work progress, and maintain standards consistent with FEMA's core values. Working collaboratively and communicating clearly, both verbally and in writing, to present and convey instructions, information, and results. Currently hold or have previously held a FEMA Qualification System (FQS) Finance Administration Section Chief Type III Qualified or Candidate Status.
