About the Position: Serves as an ordering official in the Services Branch, Supply & Services Division, with responsibility for procuring Troop Issue subsistence. Utilizes automated systems specific to Army Food Service programs, with knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of such systems to enter and retrieve data.

Duties

Serve as an ordering official with the responsibility of procuring subsistence from major commercial distributors in accordance with the Prime Vendor Program. Research transactions, verify accuracy, reconcile accounts and provide corrective action and adjustments to bring accounts into agreement. Research, review, analyze and verify accuracy of subsistence data, pinpoint discrepancies and initiate action to reconcile financial accounts.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the employee to pass a pre-appointment physical.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a forklift operator certificate within 6 months.
