About the Position: DiLorenzo Pentagon Health Clinic is located within the Pentagon. This position is full time and the applicant will be expected to work 40 hours per week over five days a week providing comprehensive psychological services to an outpatient population while embedded in a Patient Centered Medical Home primary care model. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Duties

Perform psychological and bio-psychosocial evaluations. Use objective and measurable outcomes to evaluate treatment effectiveness. Provide patient referrals and consult with primary care providers in managing their patient's empanelment. Provide case management functions. Promote education and skill-building to enhance psychological and physical health. Utilize electronic health records.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Tier 1 security investigation or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
• This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.
• This position requires the incumbent to have tuberculosis testing.
• This position requires the incumbent to fulfill credentialing requirements and obtain and maintain appropriate/relevant clinical privileges.
• This position requires that you obtain and maintain a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Basic Requirement for Clinical Psychologist (Health): Degree: Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing consultation and assessment of patients with behavioral health issues; conducting individual and/or group therapy; and collaborating with other healthcare professionals. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. License: The Clinical Psychologist position requires a current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently, offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory or jurisdiction.
