You will serve as a MAINTANENCE MECHANIC LEADER in the MARINE CORPS MOUNTAIN WARFARE TRAINING CENTER (MCMWTC) of MARINE CORPS AIR GROUND COMBAT CTR.

Duties

You will lead three to eight personnel, pass instructions received from the Facilities Maintenance Director and/or Facilities Director for immediate tasks and ensure that supplies, materials and equipment is available. You will demonstrate proper work methods and work along with employees led and set the pace. You will ensure work progresses on scheduled and review work progress. You will serve as the lead trainer for the assigned Journeyman and Marines assigned to facilities maintenance. You will ensure that all OSHA, local safety and housekeeping rules are followed and that the Facilities Maintenance director is advised of the status of operations and work in progress.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to instruct, meet deadlines under pressure, plan and organize others workload, and lead/supervise others who perform the most difficult tasks including performing new work as well as maintenance and repair work on buildings, exterior and interior structures and related utilities, facilities, and components in at least two of the following trades: Maintenance Mechanic, Electrician, Industrial Equipment Mechanic, Engineer Equipment Repair Technician, Air Conditioning Repair Technician, Water Support Technician, Combat Engineer.
