This position is located at Naval Station Everett. Incumbent is the central cashier with oversight for the department. **This position is open until 03/31/24 or until filled**

Duties

Responsible for central cashier operations and oversite. Responsible for tidel machine management, tracking funds, gift certificates, daily reports, petty cash etc. Receives and verifies counts, assigns, distributes, and safeguards funds. Serves as an authorized point of contact for local banking institutions. Maintains administrative responsibilities for MWR vehicles and acts as mail orderly. This is not an all-inclusive list of the functions of the central cashier. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge of the generally accepted accounting procedures, rules and regulations in safeguarding cash and other assets to conduct and examine the validity of the cash transactions. Ability to operate office machines such as calculator, cash register and computer. Must have minimum of 6 months experience as a cashier. Must have minimum of 6 months experience as a cashier. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
