This position serves as a Program Manager in the Office of Airports (ARP), Airports Safety and Standards (AAS). The incumbent oversees and manages airport data collection standards, processes, and requirements for the Airport Engineering Division (AAS-100), Airport Data and Airspace Branch (AAS-120).

Duties

The Program Manager is a recognized subject matter expert in managing airport data collection standards and information and provides leadership for highly complex and challenging activities under the minimal direction of a manager or executive. Serves as a principal specialist and advisor for aeronautical data, information standards and processes, and requirements. The position shares responsibility for the performance of programs/projects that frequently affect more than one LOB/SO and the FAA as a whole. Collaborates with aeronautical information specialists (AISs) for the integration of future and legacy airport and airspace data workflows and processes into the Airport Data and Information Portal (ADIP). Manages, evaluates and provides expertise for updates to Advisory Circulars and Orders (i.e. Advisory Circular 150/5300-19 and Order 5010.4A) governing the collection of aeronautical data, their impact to the ADIP, and contributions to aeronautical information services and products disseminated by the FAA.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-I, FG/GS-13 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.Specialized experience is defined as:Experience using geospatial mapping applications to verify airport geospatial data features and attributes, OR Experience utilizing various airport geospatial data standards for the collection of aeronautical data that is used to support Visual Flight Rules (VFR) and Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) operations within the NAS.You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
