About the position: This position will be assigned to the Chavez CDC, thew Cannon CDC or the Before and After School Program.
Duties
Serves breakfast, lunch/dinner and snacks family style in activity rooms. Puts correct amount of servings into bowls by measuring or weighing, add utensils and deliver foods to rooms assuring proper temperatures are maintained. Fills pitchers with milk, water, or juice. Checks rooms to see that enough food and drink are available. Pick up containers and utensils after meal. Prepares fruits an vegetables for cooking and serving by washing, peeling, scraping and dicing. Opens cans, check on food during preparation to prevent overcooking or burning. Keep records of amounts of foods and fluids per meal. Cleans equipment in kitchen and dining area. Washes dishes, pots, pans, glasses, and flatware. Operates sterilizer. Clears and cleans dining tables and chairs. Sweeps and mops floor. Disposes of food, wastes and trash. Moves heavy garbage cans and assists in uploading supply trucks and storing heavy supplies.
