Duties
Serves as Chief of Compliance and Diversity and Affirmative Employment in the Equal Employment Opportunity
(EEO) Office.
Implements and develops DLA Disposition EEO training program.
Administers the EEO complaints process in accordance with EEO Laws, Statues, Management Directives, Policies, Procedures and EEO Case Law.
Develops and Provides guidance, counsel, or instruction to subordinate employees who execute all phases of the Affirmative Employment Program, Special Emphasis Program and Diversity Management Program.
Coordinates and monitors the implementation of the annual affirmative action plan/Management Directive 715
Resolves complaints from employees, refers group grievances and more serious unresolved complaints to the DLA EEO Manager.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Supervisory Equal Employment Specialist your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at theGS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including minimum qualifications and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Providing Guidance and assistance to all levels of management at services activities and organizations to resolve problems connected with pre-complaints and formal complaints of discrimination.
Briefing upper management, organizational directors, and higher-level authorities on the status of the EEO complains processing.
Providing technical guidance and on-the-job training to other EEO Specialists.
Assisting with EEO awareness training focused on Diversity Management for supervisors/managers.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
