Duties

Oversee the timely execution of consult tracking for all TRICARE beneficiaries though the entire cycle. Educate Military Treatment Facility (MTF) staff, healthcare professionals and beneficiaries on the consult tracking procedures. Maintain suspense database for contacting civilian healthcare professionals to acquire consult results. Work closely with network providers to ensure contact information and required chart notes are sent and received in a timely manner to provide quality clinic visits. Responsible for specialty care Defer to Network (DTN) and Incoming referral coordination for all TRICARE beneficiary categories.

Specialized Experience: I am an in service applicant in the organization and have one year of specialized experience which includes: performing one or more of the following, 1) scheduling appointments 2) creating or medical reviewing files or folders 3) enter or retrieve patient information 4) assist patients with basic inquiries 4) providing services for health referral beneficiaries or eligibilities 5) utilize an automated health software system. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Health Administration and Health Management. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
