About the position: This position will be assigned to the Marketing Department.

Duties

Manage the marketing office for the 71st Force Support Squadron business and recreational activities to include the development and implementation of marketing research, marketing strategies, publicity, commercial sponsorship, corporate advertising and the implementation of marketing research, marketing strategies, publicity, commercial sponsorship, corporate advertising and the supervision of marketing personnel. Develops marketing plans, policies, programs and strategies to enhance operations to FSS programs. Serves as the marketing subject matter expert. Interprets regulations, develops local compliance procedures and addresses related problem situations. Develops recurring budgets, which includes capital requirements. Provides administrative oversight of Services commercial sponsorship ensuring that eligible activities are provided such support in accordance with existing regulations and laws. Responsible for working close and effectively with activity managers to incorporate their goals, objectives, and strategies into the squadron's marketing plan. Works with activity managers to develop individual marketing and publicity plans. Conducts commercial sponsorship and commercial advertising. Preforms other related duties as assigned. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have responsible work experience which provides working knowledge of the principles and practices of marketing, special events, public relations and advertising. This includes but is not limited to journalism, graphic design, or advertising backgrounds. A degree in Marketing or a related field is desirable. Must be able to read, write, spell, and speak English. Must have strong oral and written communication skills to explain, justify, and present ideas and findings of a variety of issues in a logical manner and prepare presentations. Must be able to work independently, performing multiple tasks and work under deadline pressure. Ability to supervise employees and control day to day work operations. Working knowledge of desktop publishing software including Adobe Suite, InDesign, Illustrator and web design knowledge is desired. May be required to work NAF events, holidays, and weekend. Must successfully complete and maintain National Agency Check with inquiries. (NACI) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Education
