Duties

This position starts at a salary of $115,439.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $150,075.00 (GS-13, Step 10) with promotion potential to $$150,075.00 (GS-13 Step 10). This is a senior-level administrative position involving a combination of confidential and sensitive program assignments performed on behalf the Office of Chief Counsel. Typical work assignments include: Performing administrative and management services essential to office operations such as consolidating and sharing information, coordinating projects and programs and setting deadlines, and protecting privileged and sensitive information; Providing advisory and technical services on substantive organizational functions and work practices; Participating and making recommendations to senior management regarding programs, projects, and activities in assigned areas; Analyzing interrelated issues of effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of administrative and business operations processes; and Developing new or modified administrative program work methods, approaches, or procedures for delivering effective services to include: detailed plans, goals, and objectives for long-range implementation and administration, and/or develop criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of the organization's processes.

Qualifications

Experience: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Participating in and making contributions to management decisions in assigned program areas; Overseeing the formulation and execution of an organization's budget, logistics, property, and records management functions; Exercising judgment in interpreting and adapting guidelines for application to specific cases or problems; Analyzing results of research and observation and recommending changes including those to current processes and/or longstanding policies; and Planning and carrying out projects to ensure that executive-level administrative actions of senior leaders are accomplished effectively NOTE: Your resume must explicitly indicate how you meet this requirement, otherwise you will be found ineligible. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must: Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process; and Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 03/01/2024.
