This position is organizationally aligned under the VA Illiana Health Care System- at the VA Illiana Health Care System - a complexity level 3-low facility. The primary purpose of this position is to provide the critical technical and program support necessary to sustain Telehealth and Connected Care operations throughout VA Illiana Health Care System using state-of-the-art, clinical technologies and partnerships which provide access to care to Veterans.
Duties
Major Duties:
Serves as the technical SME for the integration of Telehealth and Connected Care technologies
Manages new Telehealth and Connected Care equipment implementations
Ensures implementation of and adherence to guiding processes and policies
Identifies the developmental, training and orientation needs for Telehealth and other staff related to technology throughout the facility/healthcare system.
Collaborates closely with leadership
Provides technical support and resolution of issues throughout the facility/healthcare system
Troubleshoots communication issues and repairs and maintains equipment
Provides technical support to Clinic-Based Clinical Video Telehealth and Store and Forward Programs
Plans and performs fault management, configuration control, and performance monitoring of Telehealth and Connected Care technologies and systems
Other duties assigned.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm
Telework: as determined by the agency policy and supervisor.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 03/11/2024.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-11 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-09. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
You may qualify based on your experience as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-09 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: operations of technologies, programs, identifies the developmental, training and orientation needs, independently provides technical support and resolution of issues throughout the facility/healthcare system, applies implementation of processes and policies, assists in evaluation and monitoring of the quality, safety, efficiency, utilization of productivity, maintains communication with all partners, monitors utilization, fiscal impact, challenges, and outcomes of technologies.

GS-11 Substitution of Education for Experience: Possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or successful completion of three (3) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or a LL.M., if related to the Program Analyst position, obtained in a accredited college or university. The education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position. TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED.

GS-11 Combining Education and Experience: Possess equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate education and specialized experience directly related to the work of the Program Analyst as described above. NOTE: Only education in excess of 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education may be used to qualify at the grade 11 level. Transcripts Required.

Physical Requirements: Work is primarily sedentary, requiring the use of a computer but at times the work may require some physical exertion, such as walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and carrying of items.
