Duties

Serves as the Installation Automotive Crafts Facility Manager with responsibility for operation and implementation of activities in a diversified self-help automotive maintenance facility. Provides technical knowledge in automotive maintenance and repair. Analyzes major trends and projects potential changes in program emphasis. Plans and develops shop activities of the Auto Crafts Program. Develops SOPs. Submits budgetary requirements for both NAF and APF for equipment and supplies and labor. Performs vehicle maintenance on NAF vehicles. Schedules and assigns work of lower graded employees. Provides one-on-one instruction and guidance to patrons.

Requirements

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Must have valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work an irregular schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and split shifts.
  • May require lifting and carrying supplies that weighs up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have valid driver's license.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Demonstrated work experience that include the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the work of the position to be filled. Highly Preferred Qualifications 1. Possess at least three (3) years of work experience in Auto Skills / Automotive Business Management. 2. Possess experience with NAF Business Division Management, including budgeting, DARs, and CPAC procedures. 3. Possess at least three (3) years of experience in Business Management. 4. Possess an Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification.
