The United States Space Force (USSF) Space Operations Command (SpOC) at Patrick Space Force Base is searching for an Electronics Engineer, SLD 45/RM (NH-0855-03).
Description:
Are you a highly skilled and motivated systems engineer with a passion for space systems? The United States Space Force (USSF) is seeking an NH3 Project/Systems Engineer to join our team and help shape the future of space defense. In this role, you will apply your expertise in systems engineering and engineering development to manage the design, implementation, and maintenance of cutting-edge space systems. You will collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects, while staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in the field. As a self-starter with excellent problem-solving abilities, you will thrive in our dynamic work environment. Your strong communication skills will enable you to effectively engage with team members and stakeholders, ensuring the alignment of project goals and requirements.The ideal candidate for the NH3 Project/Systems Engineer position should have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent education with experience. They should have experience in electrical, systems, or computer engineering fields, with a focus on space systems and projects. Significant experience in software development, hosting platforms, data storage and networks, and/or cyber security are highly sought after competencies for this position. Certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) and INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) are highly desirable. The candidate should have a Secret/SCI security clearance and be familiar with the missions, roles, functions, and organizational structures of the Department of Defense, Air Force, and USSF.

Key Skills and Abilities:
1. Knowledge of professional electronics engineering concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, materials, and equipment to effectively apply advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts to project development, execution, and advisory services.
2. Knowledge of development testing and evaluation sufficient to apply experimental theories and new applications to issues and provide technical advice and direction in support of weapon systems, subsystems, and/or support equipment.
3. Knowledge of range instrumentation and systems, integrated air-vehicles, ground systems, and support equipment sufficient to plan, design, test, troubleshoot, evaluate, and oversee the development and/or sustainment of electronic systems or devices.
4. Knowledge of the principles of planning and program management, standard acquisition regulations, practices, and procedures; and other engineering disciplines.
5. Ability to devise and evaluate criteria, parameters, characteristics, and interrelationships for design approaches, and to assess the impact of new technology on current systems and processes.
6. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing, as well as work in a professional manner with peers, management, contractors, academia, and other agencies.
Requirements
- This position is eligible for situational telework, 4-6 days per pay period.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- A professional engineering degree at the bachelor’s level from an ABET accredited institution in engineering or a closely related field is required.
- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.
- May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
- Employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include evenings and weekends and may be subject to recall.
- The employee must meet the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position.
- PCS and incentives are not available.
