About the Position: Serves as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist located at U.S. Army Sustainment Command, Logistics Readiness Center, Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall (JBMHH) at Ft Myer, Virginia.

Duties

Serves as Director of a Logistics Readiness Center (LRC), Joint Base Myer Henderson Hall, overseeing all phases of the organization's program and work. Exercises staff control and supervision, including contract oversight, budget execution, Program Objective Memorandum (POM) requirements, and coordination of support capability and capacity with designated sustainment organizations. Directs all maintenance, supply, ammunition, food service, laundry, transportation, property accountability, clothing, and other related logistical activities. Advises supervisor on problems involving the relationships of the work of the position to installation wide and broader programs and its impact on such programs and priorities. Directs the fiscal management of operations.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance for the duration of employment.
  • This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
  • This position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization, as doing so would seriously impair the capability of the organization to function effectively.
  • The incumbent must be exempted from recall to active duty and will receive training to ensure mission accomplishment of sustaining base operations during mobilization.
  • This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations, the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
  • This position is supervisory and requires a one-year supervisory probation, unless previously completed.
