You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Special Programs Division, Fleet Capabilities and Force Development Directorate of COMMANDER US FLEET FORCES COMMAND.
Duties
You will serve as Fleet Automated Information Systems Security Representative.
You will develop and provide technical expertise to Division and subordinate commands involving the population and data maintenance of complex authoritative databases to support special access program (SAP).
You will assist in the preparation of personnel access lists and enforcement of SAP security requirements in support of highly classified conferences, meeting and briefings involving issues and technology critical to national security and defense.
You will prepare security reports involving SAP security information, material and briefing personnel that are highly classified and sensitive.
You will maintain manual and automated databases to support multiple security controls that are critical to the operation and protection of SAP security information and administration.
You will act as the assistant SAP security document control officer.

- This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized.
Qualifications
GS-11:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Managing security documentation, information security, personnel security, and information security records and databases.
Communicating both orally and in writing to communicate security briefings and training to senior personnel.
Assisting with security compliance inspections.
Training and mentoring security personnel on security procedures, policies, and processes.
GS-09:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Utilizing security documentation, information security, personnel security, and information security records and databases.
Communicating both orally and in writing to communicate security briefings and training.
Assisting with security compliance inspections.
Assisting with training and mentoring security personnel on security procedures, policies, and processes.

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.M., if related
OR
Combination of experience and education that equates to one year of experience.
For the GS-09:
In lieu of specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify based on equivalent education, as follows:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.B. or J.D., if related
OR
Combination of experience and education that equates to one year of experience.
