Duties

Serve as the installation's on-site quality assurance evaluator for the Army Food Program in the dining facilities. Participate in formulating and developing policies, instructions, and procedures concerning Food Service Program. Use a government computer to input and retrieve data. Prepare command correspondence. Initiate corrective action on contract performance and recommend contractor penalties. Engage in administration, inspection and control of food service contracts. Assist Food Program Manager in preparation for annual and special event award programs. Review dining facility operations including pickup and receipt of rations, food preparation, sanitation, and administration.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a Valid State Drivers License.
  • This position requires the incumbent to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08) upon entering the position and annually.
  • This position may require the incumbent to travel (TDY) up to 10% of the time.
  • This position requires the incumbent to complete the ServSafe certification.
  • This position requires the incumbent to complete the Food Service Contract Management II certification.
  • This position requires the incumbent to complete the Contracting Officer's Representative Course.
  • This position requires the incumbent to work weekends and/or holidays.
  • This position requires the incumbent to be on-call.

OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Food Science, Culinary Science, Quality Assurance, OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
