You will serve a Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff (ACOS) of the N3 Department at Naval Information Forces (NAVIFOR). As a Supervisory Intelligence Specialist, GG-0132-15, you will be responsible for coordination, planning, synchronization, and scheduling of IW operations. You will provide expert technical, administrative and management tasks that involve the supervision of other subordinate managers or supervisors, functions or projects that may be staffed by civilian or military personnel.

Duties

You will plan, direct assign lead and monitor work of employees. You will hire or select employees as well as evaluating employee performance. You will handle directorate budgeting actions to include travel and time-keeping. You will determine priorities with the Director of Fleet Operations (NAVIFOR-N3). You will serve as a senior member of the NAVIFOR Staff established to address a broad range of Information Warfare (IW) Type Commander (TYCOM) challenges.

  • You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period requirement.
  • This position may be subject to polygraph examination.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS/GG-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector such as: Leading the development and implementation of Information Warfare (IW) operations, policies, plans and assessing their effectiveness. Utilizes deep subject matter expertise and practical knowledge of IW to ensure policies and capabilities to ensure IW strategies are integrated in operational planning efforts. Provides supervisory technical and administrative support to military, civilian, and contract personnel.
