As a Student Trainee (Health Insurance), GS-0199-7, you will work under the general supervision of the immediate director to which the incumbent is assigned.

Duties

Assist in analyzing and reviewing health care policies to ensure accuracy and consistency with legislation, regulations, and statutes and laws. Provide technical assistance on a variety of materials to include correspondence and technical briefings for senior officials. Assist in the coordination, planning, development of CMS's correspondence, decision memoranda, other issue papers, and written reports. Conduct analytical studies and evaluate the effectiveness of health care program initiatives by gathering, organizing, and interpreting data.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: GS-07: Completion of 1 full academic year of graduate level education; OR eligibility under the Superior Academic Achievement (S.A.A.) Provision AND completion of a Bachelor's degree. Superior Academic Achievement: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university AND one of the following provisions of superior academic achievement.
