About the Position: This is a position with the 416th Engineer (ENGR) Command at 416th Mission Support Element located in Darien, Illinois.

Duties

Provide input to the budget for training and operational programs. Assist subordinate units with preparing training plans and schedules. Advise subordinate units on training matters. Evaluate training operations of subordinate elements. Analyze policies and directives pertaining to training objectives to determine training needs of the Command. Establish and recommend priority and commitment of resources for training operations. Develop standard training policies and procedures.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires a Secret Security clearance to be obtained and maintained.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which is defined as developing training plans, tracking and monitoring operational and readiness metrics, monitoring mobilization requirements, tracking force management requirements, reviewing and planning training courses, developing budget projections, recommending project funds, and identifying training needs for employees. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementOrganizational Performance AnalysisWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
