This position is located in the Air Traffic Organization (ATO), Mission Support Services, AJV. Mission Support Services provides administration of shared technical and program services which promote standardization of processes to support efficiency and effectiveness in the National Airspace System (NAS).Multiple vacancies may be filled anywhere within Mission Support Services.
Duties
This is an Internship position under FAA's Gateways Program.

- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

- Gateways Interns meeting all program requirements may become permanent without further competition.

Qualifications
FV-C: To qualify the applicant must have completed one (1) full academic year of post-high school study. You must also be accepted for enrollment or enrolled and seeking a degree in a qualifying educational institution on a full or half time basis as defined by the institution.BASIC REQUIREMENT:Eligibility Requirement: Currently pursuing a course of study leading to a bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering.Answer all questions to the best of your ability. Interns may be appointed at any time during the year.Length of Appointment: The duration of the intern’s appointment is dependent upon the length of time it takes the intern to successfully complete the educational program (awarding of diploma, certificate, or degree), attainment of the minimum of 640 hours of career-related work experience, required training, mentorship, and other requirements IAW the intern’s participant agreement.Participant Agreement: All participants may be asked sign a written Internship Agreement with the FAA that clearly identifies expectations of the appointment, such as duties, length of appointment, work schedule, training, mentorship, etc.Conversion to Permanent Appointment: Although it is not guaranteed, an intern may be converted from the Internship Program to a permanent appointment without further competition. Conversion must occur within 120 days after successful completion of the educational program (awarding of diploma, certificate, or degree), completion of a minimum of 640 hours of career-related work experience, required training, mentorship, and other requirements in accordance with the intern’s participant agreement.Termination: Participation in this program may be terminated at any time.Housing: Housing is the responsibility of the applicant.
