This position is located in the Support Services Division (SSD) of the Regional Office and serves as the Support Services Supervisor. The incumbent serves as the supervisor to two Support Services Specialists, and serves as the subject matter expert for internal and external customers on operational matters and serves as the primary PIV Card Issuance Manager under the supervision of the Support Services Division Chief.

Duties

This position is located in the Support Services Division (SSD) of the Regional Office and serves as the Support Services Supervisor. The incumbent serves as the supervisor to two Support Services Specialists, and serves as the subject matter expert for internal and external customers on operational matters and on exercising program responsibility in space and facilities management, property management, personal identification verification program management (PIV), administrative program operations, government vehicle fleet management, serves as the primary PIV Card Issuance Manager under the supervision of the Support Services Division Chief. Specific duties include: Administers administration programs that include records management, property management, supply, procurement, and vehicle fleet management. Serves as a subject matter expert on all aspects of administrative activities. Provides management and operating officials advice and assistance on all administrative matters. With division and station management, assists in the development and execution of the station's annual GOE and Minor Construction budget. Develops and implements administrative management policies. Directs operation of the central mail room including direction of the general workflow of written communications for the RO. Directs procurement, storage, and distribution of all forms and publications to the RO, service organizations, etc. and ensures compliance with RO and CO directives. Responsible for administration of station motor pool of GSA vehicles in accordance with applicable directives and ensures maximum utilization and maintenance of assigned vehicles. Ensures surveillance, evaluation, and planning to ensure efficient utilization of facilities and works with appropriate entities for acquisitions, maintenance, and improvements. Administers the Personal Identity Verification system. Supervises administrative employees. Determines training needs of staff. Advises, counsels, and instructs subordinate employees on work and administrative matters. Interviews and selects candidates for vacant positions. Promotion Potential: None. Qualifications

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement:03/08/2024. Time-in-Grade Requirements: Under competitive merit promotion procedures, any individual who is currently holding, or who has held within the previous 52 weeks, a General Schedule position under a non-temporary appointment in the competitive or excepted service, must meet "time-in-grade" requirements (have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade of the grade for which you are applying). Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to current employees applying for a Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment. NOTE: All current or former Federal employees must provide a copy of their SF-50 (you may need to submit more than one), "Notice of Personnel Action" that indicates proof of status and time-in-grade eligibility. The SF-50 must include your position, title, series, grade, step, tenure (1 or 2), and type of service (Competitive or Excepted). Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Support Services Administration Series, 0342 Individual Occupational Requirements as noted below. To qualify for a Support Services Specialist your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: To qualify for this Support Services Supervisor GS-0342-12 position, you must possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service overseeing or assisting with managing a work units' budget, procurement, and facilities management operations. NOTE: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. For work in the federal service, include the grade level for the position(s). Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities.
