This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD). The primary purpose of this position is the incumbent is the Associate Deputy Assistant Secretary (ADAS) of the Systems Support Directorate (SSD) of CWMD. Applicants within the local commuting area. Duties

Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) is chartered to substantially reduce the risk of chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear terrorism against the United States for continuously improving capabilities to deter, detect, respond to, and attribute attacks, in coordination with domestic and international partners. This position is the incumbent is the Associate Deputy Assistant Secretary (ADAS) of the Systems Support Directorate (SSD) of CWMD. As a Program Manager, GS-0340-15, your typical work assignments may include: The incumbent is responsible for supervising and managing a large group of employees in areas including acquisition professionals, program managers, system engineers, information technology specialists, and logisticians. The incumbent performs all functions typically associated with first-and second-level supervision. training needs of staff. The incumbent determines resource requirements of the division; estimates short and long-range personnel, budgetary, space, and equipment needs; recommends staffing patterns based on workloads and fiscal limitations. The incumbent will represent the Deputy Assistant Secretary (DAS) and SSD when required. General oversight responsibilities include delivering CWMD solutions to supported operators; ensuring programmatic and technical rigger across the organization; strengthening business process and employee relations; and leading as a corporate officer. The incumbent reports to the DAS of SSD and will perform broad comprehensive duties of the DAS as required. Oversees the development and execution of the SSD program plans, source selection plans, and budgets, over a multiyear planning cycle, in support of the CWMD and DHS mission, goals and objectives. Oversees the management of research, development, test, evaluation, and acquisition efforts under SSD, and developing and executing the necessary procedures for performing these functions. Qualifications

Specialized Experience: You qualify for the GS-15 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal government, performing duties such as: Performing oversight or review of acquisition program. Provide technical and administrative direction of employees. Performing oversight or review of test and evaluation OR research and development activities. All qualifications and eligibility requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement. Time-in-grade: Current General Schedule (GS) federal employees, and those that have served in GS positions within the last 52 weeks, must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade, or a combination of the next lower grade level and an equivalent band in the federal service by the closing of this announcement. Note: Current or former Federal employees MUST submit a copy of their SF-50 Form which shows competitive service appointment ("position occupied" block 34 on the SF-50 should show a "1"), tenure group (block 24 should show a 1 or 2), grade, and salary.
