Duties
Works is performed under general supervision and reviewed for compliance with instructions and standards of production and quality.
Performs a variety of tasks performing several steps or sequences of tasks that require attention to work operations in a kitchen or dining area following established procedures.
Operates a cash register. Cleans kitchen utensils, pots, pans, storage containers, as well as sweeping and mopping the floor.
Responsible for cleaning of dining area, to include but not limited to wiping tables, chairs, empting the trash, and vacuuming.
May operate a full-service bar (alcoholic and/or non-alcoholic), working independently, to include loading and unloading the full-service bar in accordance with set standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
- Must meet state/local age requirements 21 years old for the serving of alcoholic beverage at the time of appointment.
- Certificate of Medical Examination required.
- Must be able to lift and carry weights up to 40 pounds.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.
- Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally controlled facilities.
Qualifications
Candidates must:
1. Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory.
2. Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and/or nonalcoholic beverages.
3. Have the ability to follow oral and written instructions in English and possess basic math skills.
Education
This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
