About the Position: Incumbent serves as a supervisor and maintains responsibility for administering and executing an assigned program(s) for the Corps regulatory program within a USACE District for a three-state service area. Works under the general administrative supervision of the Regulatory Division Chief or their designated appointee. Incumbent receives assignments as broad objectives expressed in terms of long-range goals and overall program objectives.

Duties

Employee executes the Corps regulatory program to meet the needs of management and assigned functional responsibilities. Assures compliance with the governing public laws and regulations, interagency agreements, policies of Corps Headquarters, and the directives of the District Commander. Acts as advisor to the Chief on the execution of the regulatory program. Interprets and directs the implementation of regulations, directives, and procedures affecting assigned functions. Within delegated authority, makes recommendations or final decisions, within program area of responsibility, affecting all waters of the United States throughout the District. Counsels potential applicants concerning the geographic extent of the Corps regulatory jurisdiction. Assures public compliance with the Corps Regulatory Program, within geographic area of responsibility, in accordance with 33 CFR Parts 320-330. Counsels potential applicants concerning the geographic extent of the Corps regulatory jurisdiction, permitting procedures, and requirements.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid State motor vehicle operator's license for the class of vehicle being operated based on site specific job related requirements.
  • FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certified position designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, section 1051, amending 10 United States Code, section 1599d.

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
