As a National Bank Examiner (Risk Officer Analyst), you will advise and assist the Midsize and Community Bank Supervision (MCBS) Risk Officer with the MCBS approach to the management of bank supervision risk.

Duties
As a National Bank Examiner (Risk Officer Analyst), you will:
Advise and assist the MCBS Risk Officer in planning, organizing, and implementing MCBS processes for identifying and managing bank supervision risks.
Interpret policies and procedures on bank supervision risk issues related to monitoring and supervising midsize and community banks.
Collaborate with counterparts across MCBS, headquarters office, and Supervision Risk & Analysis staff to develop and implement processes to effectively disseminate bank examination findings, banking trends, emerging risk reports, and administrative data.
Work with the MCBS Lead Experts, Resource Coordinators, and Resource Team Managers to coordinate risk-based allocation of examiner resources.
Work closely with the MCBS Financial Analyst and the MCBS Lead Experts to assist in identifying systemic risks and analyze potential impacts on midsize and community banks.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of this announcement:
You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the NB-IV band level. Examples of specialized experience for this position include:
Participating in examinations of financial institutions to identify and analyze supervision risks; OR
Assessing a financial institution's risk management systems used to identify, measure, monitor and control risks; OR
Identifying systemic risks to the banking industry and analyzing their potential impacts.
You must also possess a National Bank Examiner (NBE) commission reflecting that you are authorized to sign Reports of Examinations (ROEs) for national banks and federal savings associations.
The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
