The primary purpose of this position is to provide effective surveillance, inspection, and technical aspects of the Material Management Flight that provides the training, resources, and systems required to ensure the efficient and effective operation of squadron and Delta processes.
Duties
Salary Range: This is an NH-02 position with full salary potential within that band, however the initial salary range offered for this position will be $33,878.00 to $80,737.00 which includes locality pay percentage, unless statutory or regulatory rules prevail. Follow on salary increases based on contribution MAY be earned within the full salary of the NH-02 pay band.
Inspects base warehouse activities. Ensures the care and preservation of supplies in storage according to United States Air Force (USAF), Department of Defense (DoD), and federal requirements.
Inspects activities involved in receiving, examining, verifying, and identifying complex categories of materials and equipment, including hazardous materials. (i.e., toxic, radioactive, perishable, classified materials, high-valued equipment, precious/strategic metals, and complex electronic or mechanical equipment, assemblies, and components).
Inspects complex disposal tasks, such as those required in dealing with reuse, salvage, and sales preparation of a wide variety of complex items and materials.
Monitors special programs, computerized listings, and documentation/records. Monitors the Repair Cycle Time Change and Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTO) programs.

This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sept 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968.
May be required to complete Nuclear War Material (NWRM) Fundamental training course annually or as required per AFI 20-110, Chapter 9.
Position requires exposure to handling, storage, and tracking of hazardous materials.
Work may require local travel to various warehouse locations of Patrick SFB and/or Cape Canaveral SFS to perform duties.
As required, may train and/or guide asset management or distribution flight personnel on inspection criteria.
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Administrative and Management Positions for Supply Program Management Series, 2003.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: I have three years of progressively responsible general experience, one year of experience which is equivalent to at least a pay band NH-01, (GS-04), and at a level close to the work of this position that has given me the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform. Typically, we would find this experience in work within this field that is closely related. To be creditable, at least one year of the general experience must have been equivalent to the next lower pay band (NH-01) grade level (GS-04) or equivalent. General Experience is described as experience demonstrating the knowledge of general federal acquisition programs, supply programs, inventory management, supplies management, storage and distribution, supplies fuels management, munitions management; skill in the use of technical orders, stock lists, cataloging data systems; federal and military supply standards and specifications. Knowledge of policies and procedures for requisitioning and issuing equipment, supplies, packing, cleaning, preservation, containers, environmental controls, marking and labeling, distribution facilities and storage management functions and techniques; knowledge of warehousing and disposal procedures and plans. Knowledge of supply structure, supply codes, and organizational interfaces both internal and external, and the ability to update procedures and use automated supply systems and data bases. Knowledge of quality assurance and inspection practices, procedures, and principles related to a wide range of materials, complete equipment items, technical components, parts, and commodities; ability to analyze problems and to develop timely and economical solutions to problems encountered. Knowledge of the identification, storage, handling, and reporting procedures of controlled and hazardous material, to include nuclear weapons Related Materiel. Knowledge of policies, methods and procedures for material identification, type classification, serviceability, and approval for use; knowledge of procedures, supply catalogs, technical manuals, and equipment drawings required for product and equipment verification.

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. NOTE: You must submit a copy of official transcripts.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
